Join us at the 2023 NWONL Annual Conference: Rethinking and Revitalizing Nurse Leadership

In lockstep with our mission to ensure highly effective nursing leadership is at the core of healthcare advancement, content in the 2023 sessions are specifically selected to focus on the primary topics our Member Leaders have lamented as their salient challenges in Positioning for the future of Nursing and Nursing Leadership:

• Recovery and support for the nursing workforce.
• Improving leaders strategic thinking and decision making.
• Creating workplaces that truly thrive.
• Advancing DEI into our communities of care.

What to Expect:

Our Conference is positioned for all levels of Nursing Leadership. From the strategic multi-system to the unit level operational leader.

We all have experienced firsthand the unique burden of leadership in nursing. Our conference endeavors to relieve some of its weight. Our conference is by leaders for leaders, but we have not forgotten our need to connect and relax. The Portland Marriot Waterfront was selected for this purpose. We have built ample time into our conference schedule for you to take advantage of connection, networking and relaxation opportunities. 

Our Conference is exclusive and limited.

We are endeavoring to ensure maximum engagement and keeping our conferences limited is essential. We strongly encourage your commitment early. You can expect the majority of your peers from both Oregon and Washington will be in attendance.

Continuing Education (CE) is available:

This event will offer up to 4.0 CE credits to attendees who are RN license holders in OR, WA or CA.

As in previous years, our Corporate Partners will joining us at the Conference to sponsor key sessions, provide additional insight and information, reconnect and contribute to our always exciting annual raffle! We are selective in our granting permission to join the conference. A selected Partner must have demonstrated capabilities to provide distinct value to leaders and the organizations they serve, from large multi-system to smaller organizations coupled with a history of contribution with our regional peers ACNL and AONL.

Logistics:

Will you be staying overnight ? NWONL has secured a limited set of rooms at a Discounted Conference Rate:

• The cutoff date for booking is no later than Friday, May 12th, 2023.

Will you be driving in? Both onsite valet parking and abundant offsite parking are available:                                                                   

• Valet at the Marriott is $49.00 per car, per night/$78 for oversized vehicles.
• An optional "Area Parking Map" for self-park is attached to help locate adjacent parking.

Will you require High-Speed Wireless Internet?                                  

We are often asked if NWONL provides wifi at the events: in short, no, we are focused on being present and engaged. However we respect that some Leaders must attend to work demands. Marriott offers two options:

• Marriott Rewards Members receive free internet during their stay when they book a room, there is no additional cost:  Join Today
• Paid options available: High Speed: $14.95 per day;  Enhanced High Speed $17.95 per day, accessible and paid directly to Marriott when onsite.

After May 31st, we are unable to provide refunds as the site catering and events costs are finalized and non-refundable. If you must cancel after this date (or before) you may optionally gift your attendance to a peer or to the NWONL Board to award. Additionally, you may opt to carry forward your attendance to the 2024 Annual Conference, May 16-17, Seattle Marriott Airport Conference Center. Email admin@nwonl.org for assistance.
