Diane P. Humbrecht, DNP, RN-BC, FNAP. Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, Virginia Mason, provides the Council and Membership key insight and education about what extended downtime means for organizations, their nurses and care environments and how Leaders can better prepare for it themselves. 

Objectives:

  • Understand the difference between traditional downtime and extended downtime and its impact on the care environment.
  • Identify generational differences of nurses as it relates to documentation and downtime.
  • Learn wisdom gained from the experience of an extended downtime and its application to your own clinical operations management.

Continuing Education Credit Information:

  • 1 CE may be awarded upon full attendance and completion of the post-session survey.
  • An active RN license for Oregon, Washington or California are required.
  • CE fees are included in for NWONL and ACNL members as part of their member dues.
  • Non-members may obtain CE, they will be asked to cover their non-member fees ($40) via invoice delivered with their certificate.
