What Is the PASS Program and why should my organization be involved?
PASS is an especially timely patient and staff safety project for healthcare that addresses violence prevention driving positive changes in clinical operations and retention:
- PASS promotes work conditions and relationships that increase retention among nursing staff, as well as team cohesion and stability.
- PASS is a critical component of a hospital longer-term solution for promoting a healthy and safe work environment.
- PASS provides a high-quality violence prevention education program for leaders, namely, charge nurses and frontline supervisors/managers.
- PASS develops leaders’ workplace violence prevention content knowledge and relational coordination skills to work with nursing staff and protect staff and patient/family/visitor safety.
