Join us in July as we learn the details of Seattle University & Providence-Swedish's innovative collaboration. This session details the shared pilot program. The program explores a pathway for employment and clinical experiences offering students financial support while learning. Like apprenticeship models, this pilot provides both paid nurse technician opportunities and paid clinical hour completion for program requirements. We will review the purpose, design, outcomes, and future opportunities for "learn to earn."
Objectives:
- Identify 2-3 challenges that academic organizations are facing in healthcare currently.
- Identify 2-3 challenges that hospital industry partners are experiencing in healthcare currently.
- Highlight 3 challenges facing clinical placements currently.
- Describe 1-2 reasons for considering a collaborative earn to learn program between an academic and industry partner.
