Leadership Advancement Scholarship

In support of developing and fostering nursing leadership excellence, the Northwest Organization of Nurse Leaders (NWONL) sponsors two $2,500 academic scholarships annually for NWONL members for nurse leaders who are pursuing a graduate or doctorate degree with a focus on healthcare leadership.

For 2024 applicants will submit an essay highlighting how they, as a nurse leader, promote a healthy work environment.  Examples may be from the AACN standards on Healthy Work Environments or the AONL's Elements of a Healthy Practice Environment  (does not have to be formal AACN or AONL work).

One of the two scholarships will be reserved for a nurse leader who identifies as being BIPOC or LGBTQ. One scholarship award per applicant maximum. An applicant cannot earn more than one award in one calendar year or across multiple calendar years.
