The November Leader Rounding is the second in the year long series diving deeply into meaningfully advancing practice partnerships.

Session Summary:

Robyn Begley (AONL) and Deb Trautman (ANCC) will provide updates from the American Association of College of Nurses (AACN)-American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) task force that has re-convened this year. The goal of the task force is to provide guiding principles on strengthening partnerships as a way to advance nursing practice and improve the health of the public.

Robyn Begley
Robyn Begley DNP, MSN, BSN, NEA-BC, CNO, AONL

CNO at AtlantiCare

Dr. Robyn Begley is the vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer at AtlantiCare. She leads nursing care delivered throughout AtlantiCare, which encompasses AtlantiCare Regional Health Services including AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC) campuses, ambulatory services and AtlantiCare Physician Group; the AtlantiCare Foundation, and AtlantiCare Health Solutions, an accountable care organization. As an AONE Board Member Region II Candidate, Robyn believes the current health care transformation is monumental. This time of disruption to the status quo provides great opportunity for nursing leaders to advance health with strong advocacy for the populations served, as well as the nurses. Robyn’s priority issues include: • Making seamless transitions of care across the continuum • Meeting the needs of the aging of population • Identifying and developing new competencies for advancing “Population Health” • Enhancing transparency in healthcare and defining new and emerging nursing roles • Furthering nurses’ personal and professional growth • Engaging ONE members and future members Robyn is active in the Organization of Nurse Executives/NJ, for which she has held a variety of roles including president. She is currently a member of the ONE NJ Informatics Committee, starting as liaison in 2014. She served as a member of the AONE Strategic Planning Committee in May 2015. Robyn is also a committee member of the New Jersey Nursing Initiative and is actively involved in the New Jersey Consortium of Magnet Organizations. At AtlantiCare, she led ARMC to become the 105th hospital in the nation to achieve the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program® Magnet™ designation for excellence in nursing in 2004; and to its redesignation as a Magnet™ hospital in 2008 and 2013.
