Additional Information
Join us at the Portland & Vancouver June Regional Council for "Overcoming Workforce Reductions: Transforming Medical Review with a Rapid Improvement Process"—a dynamic, one-hour continuing education (CE) session open to all NWONL members and their guests. Discover how innovative nurse leaders are navigating staffing challenges and driving quality through rapid improvement strategies.
Objectives: To quickly redesign endoscopy medical review in response to workforce reductions of the sole medical reviewer using rapid process improvement (RPI), called a “sprint” over 6 weeks in August 2024. After reviewing this case study, participants will be able to:
1. Apply RPI processes to address an unanticipated workflow disruption
2. Analyze and redesign workflows using systems thinking
3. Describe effective stakeholder engagement during high-stakes problem-solving
CE Eligibility: NWONL and ACNL members earn 1 CE credit while gaining practical tools to strengthen your team and processes in today’s evolving healthcare landscape (CE is included as a membership benefit). CE is awarded when attendance and post session surveys are completed for members holding a current registered nursing license.
