This presentation guides participants through the development of a low-cost leadership development program (LDP) founded on nurse leader competencies using micro didactic learning, self-reflection, and peer learning communities to decrease nurse manager (NM) turnover intention. Program topics and learning activity examples will be shared. Review of pre-and post-program data of leader efficacy, burnout, and NM turnover retention will be reviewed.
Learning Objectives:
- Explore the connection between leader efficacy, nurse manager burnout, and nurse manager retention.
- Apply a triad learning approach to build a leadership development program to retain nurse managers.
