NWONL: WHPS Support for Substance Use Program
Posted about 2 years ago
NWONL Recommends the WHPS Support for Substance Use Program
For nurses, work and personal stress can push them to use alcohol or drugs to cope. Unfortunately, stigma and other barriers often stop nurses from seeking the help they need. There is help available.
The Washington Health Professional Services (WHPS) program and its Voluntary Participation track can help. Nurses struggling with substance use can seek help without the fear of license discipline.
