Posted 5 days ago
Fellow Nursing Leaders,
We’re excited to welcome you to Portland for the 2025 NWONL Annual Conference! Come prepared for connection, learning and engagement. Here are some highlights to look forward to.
Arrive Sunday for an engaging session on creating vibrant and healthy work environments. Facilitated by experienced Nurse Leaders, be prepared to take away valuable insights and inspiration to bring to your own work spaces. Then, join the evening reception and connect with your local NWONL Council Chairs and wind down the evening with food, drink and friends.
Monday will be a full day starting with our Keynote speaker Andy Worshek, followed by Keynote facilitator Moe Carrick leading interactive sessions covering the most challenging leader issues.
Spend some time in the Corporate Sponsor hall. These organizations have been carefully selected for their commitment to supporting nurse leaders and advancing healthcare excellence. Many are long-time partners of NWONL and bring proven solutions to the challenges we face in care delivery and operations. Want to view a real-life example of how to optimize industry partnerships to bring the highest quality care and outcomes to your organization? The NWONL April 28th learning session highlighted the impressive example from Peacehealth and Baxter, leveraging subject matter experts within the industry to reduce pressure injuries and falls. Check out the session HERE.
Savor the Spirit of the Northwest Summer Party - Get ready to kick back Northwest-style! Attire is your favorite summer look! Think hiking, camping, biking, lumberjack, BBQ-chic - and join us for an evening of fun and connection. Enjoy friendly lawn games, snap selfies in the camp-inspired photo booth and relax with colleagues as we celebrate the vibrant NWONL community of nurse leaders. It's time to unwind, laugh, and savor the spirit that makes the Northwest - and NWONL - so special.
After enjoying a bright breakfast, Tuesday morning will begin with organizational updates and special announcements, including this year's NWONL Nurse Leader Awards. We end with a session that promises to be a refreshing take on managing stress and building emotional endurance as we hear from Susan Stacey. Closing and adjournment by noon.
