How did we do this year? Quite well and we have our vibrant membership to thank for it!
Strengthening Professional Learning & Development
- Delivered a robust year of CE and Nursing Leadership Learning, including over 300 CE certificates to members, multiple monthly CE and learning sessions plus a sold-out Annual Conference—fully sold out for both attendees and corporate partners.
- Renewed our California CE Provider Accreditation, ensuring our ability to continue delivering relevant CE accredited sessions for members.
- Collaborated with Nursing Network to build and deploy an NWONL CE-on-Demand: Aligned with CA CE standards and ready for deployment in 2026.
Expanding Leadership Pathways & Recognition
- Awarded two Leadership Advancement Scholarships, supporting the next generation of nurse leaders.
- Completed our third Mentor Cohort, bringing us to nearly 100 mentor–mentee pairs over three years.
- Reestablished the NWONL Leader Award Series, celebrating excellence in leadership across our region and awarded our first DAISY Foundation Nurse Leader award.
Strengthening Governance & Regional Engagement
- Completed Board Elections with a full and engaged slate of leaders, ensuring strong governance and continuity.
- Consolidated regional councils to streamline engagement, strengthen local connections, and increase consistency across regions.
- Maintained steady membership year over year at ~500, reflecting the stability and value of NWONL’s offerings.
Elevating Our Voice & Partnerships
- Continued our collaborative agreement with ACNL, strengthening West Coast leadership alignment.
- Participated actively in AONL’s Annual Conference and Affiliate Sessions, ensuring Northwest leadership perspectives are represented nationally.
- Facilitated ongoing engagement with our regional affiliates, supporting a stronger, connected leadership community.
Financial Strength & Sustainability
- Exceeded our 2025 budget plan, enabling NWONL to move toward self-funding scholarships in perpetuity—a major milestone for long-term sustainability.
